What do you know about the real estate industry?
My first experience of the real estate industry came around four years ago when I bought my first house. Aside from that, I have been building a strong client base in the real estate industry where the need for SaaS has been growing in importance as chatbots play a role in engaging customers over the course of the day when MLS listings are accessed over the Internet throughout the day and night. Recently I have been involved in helping to finance a company engaged in flipping houses as I look to expand my investment opportunities across different sectors.
Have you ever sold real estate? How did you make it happen?
The majority of my personal experience comes from buying two houses for myself and selling one of those houses. I always found the experience of buying and selling homes enjoyable if a little stressful; one of the areas I enjoy is working out the numbers as I look to discover what it would take to turn a property into a home I would be proud to call my own.
How much experience do you have in buying or selling real estate?
Like I said earlier, my experience is limited, but I have always enjoyed my involvement with real estate sales over the course of the last couple of years as I feel it is a similar industry to that of software development where creativity and exact figures combine.
Have you ever made a sell or a purchase you have regretted?
Not in real estate terms but I remember some of my first software developed for my own company is not something I look back on with any pride, but that was all part of a learning curve. The houses I have purchased so far have always been right for me at that time in life, and I think I chose the right time to sell them.
What advice would you give inexperienced who are wanting to buy or sell?
When I first got into the business, I was given some great advice which was to trust my own gut feeling but to make sure I did as much research as possible at all times.
What have you found out to be the best way to market property?
In the SaaS sector, I am working with retail and marketing brands all the time, and I think the requirements and needs of all aspects of business reflect the same desires in terms of marketing. I have found a range of Online tools are now the best options for marketing in the real estate sector including the use of chatbots to develop links with customers and real estate companies and the use of social media to attract new clients and customers.
What tools do you believe are essential for success in the real estate industry?
In my opinion, real estate is all about networking and making the right contacts which is why I believe the most essential tools are social media platforms where the majority of us live our lives. Social media needs to be turned to the advantage of every real estate professional who can do much more than merely attract new clients to various platforms.
What has real estate taught you about life?
Real estate is vital in learning patience is definitely a virtue which to all of us possess. I don’t believe real estate is something you can work in if you aren’t prepared to play the long game and wait for the right deal to come along.
How can you use what you have learned in real estate to succeed in other areas?
The real estate industry has taught me to make sure my clients are always up to date with the software we are developing so they are up to date on the latest developments in their personal project. Clients in real estate are kept up to date about every movement on their property which is a great idea.
Do you have a mentor who taught you what you know?
There have been too many mentors to mention, but my college professor who helped me find my way to software development has been a constant source of inspiration after he taught me to follow my own talents to achieve success.
Do you have a feedback system? How does it work?
My company uses a range of feedback systems including the use of consumer reviews which we monitor each day to make sure every social media platform post is read and responded to appropriately.
