I read a lot of real-estate-based magazines and have done some informal courses on this topic. Although I have a lot of room to grow, I think that my knowledge is best described as semi-intermediate. Meaning, I understand the concepts well. Nevertheless, I have not done much real estate work so far and lack the necessary experience to truly put myself on an intermediate level.
Have you ever sold real estate? How did you make it happen?
I never sold real estate for the purposes of growing my own business. I did, however, sell some of my personal-use homes in the past when I relocated. Doing so was very exciting because it allowed me to work on the house and make many last-minute upgrades to increase the property price. I also contacted experienced professionals who were able to get me in touch with the right clients. Not to mention the number of meetings I had with my CPA in order to avoid any tax-related issues that could have happened due to the improper treatment of the capital gain.
How much experience do you have in buying or selling real estate?
Formally, very little. I have not had much time in my career to dedicate myself to real estate as much as I would have liked to. Nevertheless, we will see if the future allows me to enter this field.
Have you ever made a sell or a purchase you have regretted?
Fortunately, no. Given that most of my purchases have been my homes, I have never regretted buying any of them. This was a byproduct of a plethora of research that ensured I buy the right house.
What advice would you give inexperienced who are wanting to buy or sell?
Ask others for help! Trying to make a sale without experienced professionals guiding you is a big mistake that will cost you. This means getting in touch with a realtor and letting them show you the ins and outs of the market. Also, as mentioned, have a CPA or a lawyer help you deal with the administrative side of things.
What have you found out to be the best way to market property?

There are a lot of transferrable skills that the real estate market teaches you. Some of them include things like conflict resolution and incredible negotiation tactics. Those can be very helpful in practically every professional field.
Do you have a mentor who taught you what you know?
I do not have a formal mentor that helped me enter the market as I spent a large part of my career working as an engineer. Regardless, I am a strong believer in mentoring as one of the quickest ways to reach your goals fast.
Do you have a feedback system? How does it work?
Absolutely! My feedback system involves a lot of communication with my team. This allows me to hear their input and see if they like where our venture is going. Given how I depend on them to reach important milestones, it is crucial to know that they like what we are currently doing.
