Nancy Behrman
When Nancy Behrman founded Behrman Communications, she had just a single client — Kiehl’s Since 1851 — and a studio apartment that doubled as her office space and base of operations. Those circumstances may have made it seem unlikely at the time that Ms. Behrman would ultimately build the powerful and immensely successful company she still runs more than 30 years later, but the creation of the Behrman PR approach made it possible to easily overcome even the most unfavorable of circumstances in elevating a brand in such a way that it could become a multi-million dollar endeavor.
An innovator through and through, Ms. Behrman recognized that her highly effective approach would only continue to excel with a consistent focus on the development of new and advanced techniques that built on the initial success of the first version of the Behrman PR strategy. In advocating this philosophy to her rapidly growing team of public relations and brand building professionals, Ms. Behrman was quick to remind her staff that the reason her approach had succeeded to such an impressive degree was due largely to the fact that it shirked the status quo in favor of an entirely unique and highly individualized strategic plan.
Ms. Behrman continues to serve clients of the public relations firm she founded in 1985 while still advocating for constant innovation in every aspect of the company’s operations. A longtime resident of New York City, Ms. Behrman has seen neighborhood after neighborhood undergo incredible changes that have drastically altered the formerly held perceptions regarding those neighborhoods. As a result, Ms. Behrman has been able to observe and take advantage of the developing trends while still in the earliest stage of change, creating an opportunity to leverage the real estate market in such a way that it has become an incredibly valuable vehicle for investment.
