What do you know about the real estate industry?
I am still working on building my portfolio since I only started investing in real estate recently, but I have always had a habit of being exceptionally thorough in every undertaking.
Have you ever sold real estate? How did you make it happen?
I have sold a few properties already, and I worked in conjunction with a broker to make it happen.
How much experience do you have in buying or selling real estate?
At the moment, my experience is lagging behind my knowledge. I do, however, intend to continue to gain a lot more of both going forward.
Have you ever made a sell or a purchase you have regretted?
I developed software that considers a variety of factors and metrics to aid in the decision-making process. I’ve made some tweaks to the software along the way, but it has insulated me from making any regrettable decisions.
What advice would you give inexperienced who are wanting to buy or sell?
There is an overwhelming amount of data available to analyze the value of a property, so it’s important to understand how to properly weigh that data so it doesn’t lose its meaning.
What have you found out to be the best way to market property?
Marketing is one of my areas of expertise, but I have found that the most common and straightforward strategies are just as effective as the more advanced ones I’ve used.
What tools do you believe are essential for success in the real estate industry?
I’ve always valued an approach in which useful data analysis is a key component.
What has real estate taught you about life?
It’s taught me that having access to a wealth of information is only valuable when that information can be thoughtfully analyzed in a meaningful way.
How can you use what you have learned in real estate to succeed in other areas?
I’ve never been one to pretend to know everything about real estate, so I often seek information or advice on those areas in which I feel less than confident. I strive to do the same in my other professional pursuits as well.
Do you have a mentor who taught you what you know?
No, I’m mostly self-taught. I do have several friends in real estate I call on from time to time for guidance when needed.
Do you have a feedback system? How does it work?
Yes, I created a specific web-based platform for soliciting feedback and analyzing the data so it’s easy to review.
