Luigi Wewege
A multi-talented and uniquely skilled international business leader, Luigi Wewege has dedicated the entirety of his career to providing clients of the firms with which he is professionally associated with the most exceptional financial services possible. Mr. Wewege is the president and CEO of Vivier Group, a New Zealand-based financial services provider offering comprehensive and high-performing financial packages, and he is also the managing partner for the Columbia, South Carolina-based Palmetto Global Ventures, a consulting firm focusing on bespoke financial management.
As if his roles with Vivier Group and Palmetto Global Ventures were not enough, Mr. Wewege is also the executive chairman of Nikau Global, which provides clients with consulting services but focuses mainly on issues relating to importing and exporting. Mr. Wewege is also able to draw on vast and varied professional experience in a variety of other similar leadership roles, and his outstanding academic background has played a significant role in the degree of professional success he has since enjoyed.
Mr. Wewege holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, where he studied finance, international business and management while also earning a number of academic honors. Following his undergraduate experience at UMSL, Mr. Wewege enrolled in the MBA program at the MIB School of Business and Management in Trieste, Italy, where he ultimately earned a Master of Business Administration in International Business.
Though his professional responsibilities occupy a great deal of his time, Mr. Wewege remains involved in a number of charitable endeavors and non-profit organizations, all of which sustain an array of worthy causes and certainly benefit from Mr. Wewege’s continued support. In addition to all of his professional and philanthropic work, Mr. Wewege is also a successful real estate investor who has developed the uncanny ability to identify properties poised to yield the greatest possible return on the initial investment.
What do you know about the real estate industry?
Many of the same principles that guide my decisions in my industry apply quite well to real estate, so I feel quite confident as an investor.
Have you ever sold real estate? How did you make it happen?
Yes, several properties. I have a close friend who is a realtor and has helped sell my investment properties over the years.
How much experience do you have in buying or selling real estate?
I have quite a bit of experience, but it is very much something that I do in the little spare time I have available.
Have you ever made a sell or a purchase you have regretted?
I’ve never regretted a purchase or a sale, but there have been occasions in which I felt I could have done better.
What advice would you give inexperienced who are wanting to buy or sell?
It’s important to always have the utmost confidence in an investment property, which requires much more than just instinct.
What have you found out to be the best way to market property?
I’ve always left the marketing responsibilities to my real estate agent.
What tools do you believe are essential for success in the real estate industry?
I rely on a structured process I’ve created to aid in making the decision to invest, and I think anyone considering buying or selling should create something similar for themselves.
What has real estate taught you about life?
Things don’t always go according to plan, so it is necessary to account for contingencies as well.
How can you use what you have learned in real estate to succeed in other areas?
Research, patience and trusting the right people always leads to a positive result.
Do you have a mentor who taught you what you know?
Yes, I’ve been fortunate that there have been several mentors who have helped me over the years.

No, but my real estate agent and I typically review the results to ensure that we address anything in our approach that could be improved upon in the future.
